MA Final Project August 2015

 

‘Drawn to the Land’ is an illustrated journey into the English landscape, exploring our relationship with place. Based on 10 poems about the English countryside, it documents 10 walks made in each poem’s location. 

 

The project aims to connect poems about rural landscapes with their original locations, using walking to engage with each environment and drawing to capture each landscape’s sense of place, connecting the poet’s experience in the past with my experience as an illustrator in the present.
