A personal project based on a walk I did in Patterdale in the Lake District in November 2016.

 

By observing and drawing on site, as well as collecting reference materials from the walk, I wanted to create a picture of the botany of Patterdale, as I found it on that specific day, in that specific landscape, at the end of Autumn. My two illustrations depict the leaf and plant samples I found on my walk, as well as the route I took through the Ulswater Valley.
